Abstract

This article examines a series of unsigned and undated drawings held in the collections of West Wycombe Park in Buckinghamshire, the country house of Sir Francis Dashwood (1708-1781). The drawings here are attributed to Giovanni Niccolò Servandoni on the basis of stylistic analysis in comparison with his other English designs, other architects' designs for Dashwood and in the context of Dashwood's commission.
